Hmmm...
What a lot of story there was to tell, nicely compacted though, and didn’t it go quickly!
I LOVED the start, with Rose telling the back-story of everything that had happened. Cute scene of her on the bus before she met the Doctor, Eccleston`s Run moment flashback, oh and how beautiful was that shot on the alien planet, when he said tell me how long where going to be together. They had so just had sex!
The CGI of those effects was beautiful!
Nice start going to see Jackie, moved along at a good pace, and yay for Torchwood, which was not as evil as I though it was going to be...
No Jack, there is not going to be is there! *SOB*
I love the Doctor telling Jackie, that the thought of all your love one’s coming back would be horrendous,I`m right there with ya Doc.
Cybermen, people taken over by Cybermen and Woah, wait a minute.
HELLO MICKY SMITH!*G*
Oh yeah where was I, big evil sphere with Dalek`s inside...Blue Dalek, are they from the crazy religious Dalek era, or the Time War era?!
Who built the sphere, the Dalek`s or someone else.
That Time War is NEVER going to be over is it Doctor!
OMG, did you see the Cybermen in the family`s house with the kids! How many children are going to grow up, with a fear of the Cybermen braking into their house’s now...
The Doctor did that thing again, when he looks cute, like he did last week with the jam! It was when he was telling Evonne that she should go ahead and turn on the thing, and he just sat down and smiled at her with that look!
That look was a look, a hot challenging look...its coming Tennant, slowly, but it is there, with those little flashes you keep giving us.
Don’t think the Girl who got Cybernized is going to be the new companion now,do you!
Loved the Jackie and the Doctor stuff, really funny and atmospheric in parts.
Overall, it was good. I imagine that after I have watched the finale and everything has been revealed, it will not be the best of episodes, as much of it was just setting stall for next week.
I have not been that enthusiastic about this series, nothing in that episode was a surprise to me, except maybe MICKEY SMITH DUDE!
With his-I am all hard and sexy now, also I am a spy who has crossed over a dimensional vortex and hey, I have a big gun, and I’m not afraid to use it!
Mickey Smith defending the universe.*g*
So I haven't enjoyed it as much as I did last year, but that doesn’t matter...One second after it finished, the neighbor’s kids popped their heads over the fence squeeing like crazy people. Harry went out and they where all screaming and OMG did you see the Dalek`s and just a general insanity, and love for what they had just watched.
This year has been a huge success, and it has been loved by thousands of little kids with their sonic screwdriver water pistols.
Before I forget, Rose at the start on the misty beach place, who thinks that, might be the icy planet place, we saw on the previews before the series aired... Just a thought!
I didn't watch next weeks preview, should I? How spoilery is it?
Stupid Rooney!
The rest of the team tried so hard, but not the best goal shooters...Poor Rio,he was sobbing his heart out bless him.At least we can get back to normal now, with out any more stressful football matches.

Not spoilery at all -- at least, not in the sense that you get an idea of what is actually going to happen next week. Just a few familiar faces appearing in the doorway, really...
God, it was good, wasn't it?

It wasn't that bad for the spoilers, just enough to keep me thinking till next week.
God, it was good, wasn't it?
Yes!In fact I think it improved even more on a second viewing.

There was a lot to take in wasn't there, and mostly as you say setting up things ready for next week. We'd already guessed about the cybermen coming from Mickey's universe and that Mickey himself would turn up. We also guessed the daleks would probably turn up too, so no real surprises so far.
I want to know why a futuristic organisation like Torchwood with all that computer power and alien technology at their disposal, was activating the ghost shift by using two mechanical levers that looked like they came from an old fashioned railway signal box. And why did Rose have no reaction whatsoever when she first saw Mickey.
I'm not as excited or on the edge of my seat as I was last year when Big Wolf was on and we were waiting for PotW. I cared about what happened to Nine and Jack and even Rose back then. Now I don't. Nevertheless, I will be interested to see how they get out of this one. Clearly Rose isn't going to 'die' in the conventional sense or how would she be able to tell the story. She'll proably ascend to a higher plane or something (so long as she leaves I don't care).
I wanted to discuss what was in the Confidential episode aftwerwards but you don't mention watching that so I won't spoil you till I know it's ok to mention it.

I think it was probably one of two things.
A plot point that involves what power they are using to open the hole, for example it`s part of a larger alien device.Or just a little flair to make the operation look on a larger scale.
They reminded me of part of the telescope at the Torchwood estate, and at first I thought they where part of that, like an ornament to symbolize how the agency was founded.
I think there is more to the whole thing then meets the eye.Especially when the Doctor said they must have a lot of money,it made me wonder who was funding it.I`m sure it will be important.
Rose and Mickey, I didn't really notice there lack of interaction the first time round, but I suppose it was a little blaze after there tearful-never going to see each over again-goodbye.
On Mickey`s part I just thought it was showing he had moved on,found his true calling ,and that he was was no longer impressed or moved by his past over-infatuation with Rose.
I don't care as much as I did last year,it was a much more inter-personal situation and on a more intimate scale.Have to wait and see how it plays out I suppose, till I can decide fully how I feel.
I still haven't watched the confidential,I`m going to try and watch it later today,I must say though I am very intrigued about it:)

I think what's disappointed me with the Tenth Doc is his propensity to be loud and do inane things, the whole Ghostbuster thing had me groaning out loud. But Torchwood Doctor was awesome! That's the Doctor I want to see more of.
Still can't work out what's going on with Rose, I've read elsewhere that she might somehow regenerate and I'll be desperately upset if that's the case. If she's dying, then she dies, but how can she be narrating her own death? Colour me confused.
Cybermen were fantastic and so were the Daleks. I love how RTD has brought the menace back to these old foes.

The ghost-buster thing was horrible, his personality at Torchwood was much more of the Doctor I want to see, hopefully with the departure of Rose we will.
I hope Rose doesn't regenerate, that would be so tacky,I`m hoping the fact that she is narrating her own death story,is just a play on words,or some sort os reversal of time will be involved to explain it:)
