I’m somewhat disappointed with Jericho,SFX gave it quite a good review, and coupled with my love for the post-apocalyptic genre, I thought this was going to be something I could fall in love with.
It starts pretty well, Skeet Ulrich, better known as the psycho in the first of the Scream trilogies,is the man with the 'mysterious' past’, returning home to the small town of Jericho, accompanied by a hot car, with The Killers-'All the things that I have done', blasting out.

That is sort of as good as it gets, the rest of the cast don't rate very much, and it has an awful feel of a 'made for TV’ movie...With lift music!
The special effects are pretty lame, a fire in episode four, and looks like the work of over enthusiastic film students.
Don't get me wrong, it is gripping, but oh so contrived and very predictable.
It’s such a shame, as I think it had so much promise. It still might, I’m going to continue watching to see if it improves with age, see if the mysteries deepen, and I have to confess, I’m somewhat curious as to who has nuked the US...My money’s on Skeet.;)

Hmmm, well better then last week. Actually, the first half was quite frightening, and I did like the idea that ghosts are just recorded images of intense emotion from the past.

Eva Miles is brilliant, and I think carries the show quite well.

I LOVE JOHN BARROWMAN, MAKE NO MISTAKE.
I LOVE CAPTAIN JACK, one of the best characters ever developed, and I will love R T Davies forever, for creating him.
However, I am not sure he has the strength to lead a TV show.
I'm sure this is an unpopular opinion, and I may yet be proven wrong, but he is not cutting it with me.
Paired with Eccleston, he was amazing, and on fire; but I think, because of the strength of CE, he shined more in the shadows.
As a supporting actor, he`s the best and gets all the Oscars, but as a lead,I'm not sure...

It is also lacking a lot of romance, hell will freeze over before I slash him with Gwen, but there isn't really anyone else left that appeal to me as a pairing.
Nine/Jack, was so very hot-and even if it continues to be so with Ten, it`s a far way off coming, with Jack only supposedly appearing in the last few episodes of DW...
Next weeks episode looks exciting though, were they Cybermen, or at least the technology?

Stolen from several people on my flist.I changed the code a bit too, originally the friends names were just in bold.
