He's only 26! was so not expecting that!

I don't even know who he is really...
So shocked.

EDIT:I found some pics for anyone who is as in the dark as I am.

Who? What? Eeeewww!

Well, I know you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover but ... no. Really. No. *sigh*

I'm keeping an open mind.
He was quite animated through the interview and on a second viewing I have found myself warming towards him.
I'm also thinking of the captain Jack slash potential...

To be fair, it is hard to judge someone just through a couple of pics, but even watching the interview hasn't made me change my mind. Perhaps he's more charismatic when he's acting than he seems as himself. I just think the doctor should be someone older, someone who can portray a 900 year old being with the weight of the universe on his shoulders. I honestly think this is a decision made purely to attract the younger audiences (or perhaps I'm just getting old!).

As far as Jack/Eleven slash is concerned, I'd have much preferred to see that with Ten or Nine. I don't find this guy in the least bit attractive and that would spoil it for me.

I have to say that, so far, I'm pretty disappointed. I'll be happy to be proved wrong, but at this point, I think the best I can hope for is that they at least do something about his hair!

I'm happy with this decision, he's an incredible actor and he's quirky.

I think he will be quite interesting! Have only seen him in one thing but I vaguely remember being impressed. I bet he will surprise everyone!

It's quite exciting!!

I've seen a picture of him in glasses like the ones Ten wears - hope he keeps them. *g*

Since I know nothing about this actor, I'm going to keep an open mind. Poor kid has some huge shoes to fill!

It must be quite daunting for him,or it will start to be so now everyone knows who he is.

I am keeping an open mind too,but I'm warming to the idea more, after watching his interview a couple of times.

I feel the same way - after watching his interview I want him to succeed, just because he seems like a nice kid and a DW fanboy. I mean, why not? It doesn't hurt to wish someone well, right?

I think it's an interesting idea really. The Doctor has been portrayed at a variety of ages but never so young,if he can carry it off believably then I think it could be very exciting.

I'm happy. I don't know him, which means I won't associate him with anything else he's ever done, which means it'll be that much easier to picture him as the Doctor -- unless he makes a pig's ear of it, of course...
